Grand View Media Group Brings Home Seven GAMMA Awards

ATLANTA, June 2, 2010 - Grand View Media Group brought home seven Magazine Association of the Southeast (MAGS) GAMMA Awards. The awards recognize editorial and design excellence in magazine publishing. Barry Lovette, general manager, and Brent Kizzire, vice president of operations for Grand View Media Group accepted the honors at the 20th Annual GAMMA Awards dinner on April 30, 2010.

In all, Grand View Media Group brought home two Gold awards, three Bronze awards and two Honorable Mentions.

Grand View Media Group won a Gold award in the Best Single Issue (Consumer Paid, published three times per year or less) category for Waterfowl & Retriever. Waterfowl & Retriever has won Gold in this category for the past two years. Grand View also won a Gold award in the Best Custom Publishing (Consumer Paid) category for Cabela's Outfitter Journal. The magazine won a Silver award last year in the same category.

Grand View Media Group's "CMM Flower Power" feature from the June 2009 issue of Cleaning and Maintenance Management earned the Bronze award for Best Feature, Business-to-Business. Archery Business won another Bronze for their "Boon or Bust" feature in the 2009 Trade Show issue in the Best Single Issue, Business-to-Business category. In the Best Single Cover, Business-to-Business category Water Technology won with "Will Blue Be The Next Green?" from the Dec 2009 issue.

Grand View Media Group won two Honorable Mentions, one for the October 2009 issue Flow Control – "It Came From The Lab" in the Best Single Cover, Business-to-Business category and the other for Waterfowl & Retriever for the "Ultimate Waterfowling" Northern Edition 2009 issue in the Best Redesign, (Consumer Paid) category.

An elite group of magazine editors and designers judge the GAMMA Awards. Entry categories include General Excellence, Best Single Issue, Best Feature, Best Service Journalism, Best Series, Best Design and Best Photography.
