Grand View Media Group Brings Home Eight GAMMA Awards

Grand View Media Group brought home eight Magazine Association of the Southeast (MAGS) awards from the 20th Annual GAMMA Awards dinner on April 30, 2009. The event recognizes editorial and design excellence in magazine publishing.

Barry Lovette, General Manager, and Brent Kizzire, Vice President of Operations for Grand View Media Group were present to accept the awards. In all, Grand View Media Group brought home two Gold awards, four Silver awards and two Honorable Mentions.

Grand View Media Group won a Gold award in the Best Single Issue (Consumer Paid, revenues less than $1 million) category for Waterfowl & Retriever – Southern Flyway 2008. The magazine won Gold in this category last year. Grand View also won a Gold award in the Best Service Journalism (Consumer Paid/Controlled, revenues less than $1 million) category for Hunt Club Digest.

In the Best Custom Publishing (Consumer/Paid, revenues more than $1 million) category, Grand View Media Group won a Silver award for Cabela's Outfitter Journal. No Gold was awarded in this category.

Nephrology News & Issues from Grand View Media Group won Silver in the Best Magazine Website (B2B, revenues more than $1 million) category. Silver for the Best Single Cover (Consumer/Paid, revenues more than $1 million) category went to Grand View Media Group publication Cabela's Outfitter Journal – August 2008. Grand View Media Group's Waterfowl & Retriever – Northern Flyway 2008, won silver for Best Single Issue (Consumer/Paid, revenues less than $1 million).

Grand View Media Group won two Honorable Mentions, one for Southern Sporting Journal – "The Paddle into Manhood" in the Best Essay (Consumer/Paid, revenues less than $1 million) category and the other for Processing in the Best Magazine Web site (B2B, revenues more than $1 million) category.
